Arthur miller is one of Americas most famous playwrights. Although his dramas take roll in familiar settings, he has made a disposition for dealing with contemporary, political, and moral issues. Millers work continues to inspire and teach wad about American look and values.

Arthur Miller was born in New York City on October 17, 1915. He attended the University of nautical mile where he began writing plays. Several of these plays win awards. In 1944 Miller won New York Citys Theatre Guild for his play, The Man Who Had on the whole the Luck.

Millers first major success came with All My Sons, which won the playing period Critics Circle Award in 1947. Soon afterward, he wrote his most widely acclaimed play, The Death of a Salesman, in 1949. It highlighted the American sample of prosperity, and condemned it, on the grounds that few can pursue it without stern moral compromises. The play won the Pulitzer Prize and was made into a movie in 1952.

Arthur continued his success with The Crucible, in 1953, which won a Tony. The Crucible gave an intriguing prospective to the witch hunts in Salem, Massachusetts. Millers next plays, A View from the Bridge (1955), subsequently the downslope (1964), and Incident at Vichy (1964), all received moderate success. After the Fall described his unhappy marriage to Marilyn Monroe.



Millers last plays The launching of the World and Other Buisness(1972) and The Down Mount Morgan(1991), received manifold reviews. Arthur has also written several books and an autobiography.

Although his plays have received alter levels of success, all of Milers plays have contained moral meaning and important life lessons.
